High economy: respond to the national call for parity
Huaneng North Shangdu Megawatt Wind Power Base Project plans to have a total installed capacity of 1600MW wind power, with Windey supplying a total capacity of 1000MW and 222 Windey WTGS to be installed. In the base construction, Windey has innovated and broken through a complete set of key technologies for the design and construction of large megawatt onshore wind farm. Combined with high tower technology, optimal speed control, and optimal pitch angle control technology, it will provide the best power generation for the project while ensuring the WTGS operation performance, and guarantee the return on investment for the owner.
All Windey WTGS adopt intelligent control and optimization technology, and can effectively reduce project operation failure rate and operation and maintenance costs, and extend the service life of WTGS components through intelligent field level control such as wake management, energy management, and sector control based on system identification and adaptive control.

Huaneng North Shangdu Project is located in Xilingol League, where the temperature changes dramatically throughout the year and the temperature difference is significant. To ensure the safe and reliable operation of the project, Windey is equipped with advanced remote monitoring system, automatic fire protection system, and video monitoring system to achieve 24-hour 360° all-round WTGS operation monitoring based on intelligent online vibration monitoring system, and WTGS tower status and blade health monitoring system, further improving the operation reliability of WTGS.
Moreover, Huaneng North Shangdu Project adopts the data acquisition and monitoring control system to achieve full life cycle digital management and cost lean management of wind farm operation through high-precision prediction of weather and power. This can provide the best quality products and technical services for the owner, and help Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region accelerate the construction of a green, low-carbon, intelligent, and efficient new energy system.
After the large wind power base project is completed and connected to the grid, it will deliver clean green power to the North China Power Grid through the 500kV line built by Zhenglan Banner Shangdu Power Plant. It can deliver 5.235 billion kilowatt hours of clean green power annually to the Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, equivalent to reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 3.14 million tons.

The winter in Huaneng North Shangdu Wind Farm is long and covered with ice and snow, the autumn is windy and dusty with sand dunes distributed locally, and the altitude is 1270-1550m.
